Shure tis great to be appreciated.
We particularly love the Great Taste Judges’ effusive description, which to be perfectly honest, gets exactly what we loved about our first, and sadly sold out batch of our Artisan Cork,(first, Irish second!), Craft Cider. That said, most people prefer our 2nd batch! We look forward to judges comments next year for our Johnny Fall Down 2016, and our soon to be release Demi Sec Spécial 2016, based on French Bittersweet Cider varietals.
Check out http://www.johnnyfalldown.ie/want-some/ for where to get our current batch of cider!
Table 1: Dramatic fizz in the glass! Lovely clarity and golden hue. There are intriguing floral, fruit (pears as well as apples!) notes on the nose. On the palate there's a pleasing balance of light fruitiness, nicely modulated tannins and a happy level of sweetness. The finish is clean, verging on dry, with some good length. This would be a great crowd pleaser, with good substance and skilled craft behind it.
